Liz Schnelle named CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine First Team Academic All-District

ADA — Senior All-American Liz Schnelle (New Bremen) has been selected CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine First Team Academic All-District IV.
As a junior last season, Schnelle earned Second Team Academic All-District honors.
She has also been named First Team Academic All-OAC for the past two seasons.
Schnelle has had a remarkable career at Ohio Northern, ranking in Ohio Northern's all-time top 10 in kills, attacks, attack percentage, solo blocks and total blocks.
Earlier this season, Schnelle became both Ohio Northern's and the Ohio Athletic Conference's all-time kills leader. She currently has 2,106 for her career.
This season, she leads the team in kills with 443 and set ONU's single-season kills record last season with 592, breaking her own record of 573 from the season before.
The No. 6 Ohio Northern volleyball team will look to win its fourth consecutive OAC Tournament Championship this weekend. As the No. 3 seed, the Polar Bears will face No. 2 seed Mount Union in a semifinal match at 5 pm on the campus of Heidelberg.
The OAC Tournament finals are slated for Saturday at 2 pm at Heidelberg.
