Kyle Meyer named Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern senior forward Kyle Meyer was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 16-22.

Meyer had 36 points and 14 rebunds in two games at the Wheaton (Ill.) Lee Pfund Classic over the weekend and was named to the All-Tournament Team.

He had his sixth career double-double and the second in three games this season with a 17-point, 10-rebund effort Saturday in the 71-63 Consolation Game victory over Trine (Ind.)

On Friday night, Meyer scored 19 points and grabbed four rebounds as the Polar Bears dropped a 72-69 overtime decision to McMurry (Tex.) in the first round.

This season, Meyer leads the Polar Bears in scoring and rebounding, averaging 18.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.

Ohio Northern will return to action Tuesday evening at No. 9-ranked Wooster.
