Kyle Kwiat named OAC Wrestler of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern freshman Kyle Kwiat was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for the week of Jan. 18-24.
Kwiat posted a 5-0 record with three pins, a tech fall and a major decision, leading the Polar Bears to a 4-1 record on the week.
He posted a fall in ONU's 44-0 victory over Muskingum on Tuesday that kept the squad undefeated in OAC Regular Season action.
Kwiat is currently 29-3 on the season and is ranked No. 4 nationally in the latest Brute NWCA Coaches Poll.
This marks the second consecutive week that Kwiat has earned the award, as he is currently riding a 13-match winning streak.
An ONU wrestler has now won the award four times this season.
The Polar Bears (13-10 overall, 3-0 OAC) will travel to No. 23-ranked Heidelberg Tuesday for a battle of league unbeatens.
