Kinkelaar scores twice as Women's Soccer stays unbeaten with 3-0 win at Anderson (Ind.)

ANDERSON (Ind.) -- Katie Kinkelaar scored twice to lead the Ohio Northern women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory at Anderson (Ind.) Tuesday afternoon at the AU Soccer Field.
The Polar Bears remain undefeated on the 2008 season with a 2-0-1 record, while the Ravens fall to 1-2.
Kinkelaar scored in the 37 and 61st minutes after Northern had taken a 1-0 lead on a goal b y Alyssa Merrick off an assist from Natalie White with 27:04 gone in the match.
Her first goal was unassisted as she picked up a loose ball in the box and drilled a pretty shot into the back of the net with 8:22 left in the half.
She capped the scoring off an assist from Katie Schaadt with 29:16 remaining in the match. Schaadt drilled a shot from outside the box and Kinkelaar finished off the deflection from the Raven goalkeeper at close range.
"We were solid today, especially on defense," ONU head coach Mark Batman said. "We got to play a lot of people and got many of our younger players some experience."
The Polar Bears will return to action next Tuesday with a 7 pm match at Ohio Wesleyan.
