ADA — Justin Krock has been named the new head women's golf coach at Ohio Northern University.

This will be Krock's first head coaching position after an extensive background in the sport from the youth through professional levels.

Most recently, Krock served as a caddy for current PGA golfer Kris Blanks during the 2008 season while Blanks was playing on the Nationwide Tour.

Krock helped Blanks earn his way to the PGA Tour, where he has played in 16 events this season.

A native of Kenton, Ohio, Krock graduated from Kenton High School in 1997 and earned a trip to the Ohio High School Athletic Association's state golf tournament as a senior.

From there, he went on to play golf at the University of Findlay during his freshman campaign. Krock was able to earn his first collegiate tournament victory during that season.

After one season, Krock decided to pursue his education in professional golf management at Coastal Carolina in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

When he returned back to Ohio, Krock remained in the sport by managing the golf pro shop at Dick's Sporting Goods and giving lessons as an assistant pro at Red Hawk Run in Findlay, Ohio.

His father, John Krock, is an Ohio Northern alumni and was a letterwinner for the ONU track & field team.

Krock is also in the process of earning his Playing Aptitude Test to become a professional instructor through the PGA Tour.

He has a nine-year old son, Braytton, who has already started to develop his own golf game.

Krock resides in Findlay.
