Jake Heaphy named to D3Football.com Team of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern senior Jake Heaphy was named to the D3Football.com Team of the Week for his efforts in ONU's 41-10 win at Marietta on Saturday.

Heaphy nailed a school-record 50-yard field goal, a 44-yard field goal, made all five of his extra point attempts and averaged 58.7 yards on seven kickoffs and had a 40-yard punt for the polar Bears.

Heaphy is now has made a school record 24 field goals in 31 attempts in his career. He is also 67 of 71 in PATs, has 139 kicking points and averages 38.1 yards on his 134 career punts.

He was also named the Ohio Athletic Conference Football Special teams Player of the Week for the sixth time in his career on Monday.

The No. 20-ranked Polar Bears will return to action Saturday when they host John Carroll at 1:30 pm at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
