Eiben's first half goal lifts Women's Soccer to 1-0 victory at Heidelberg

TIFFIN - Junior Jamie Eiben scored in the 18th minute of the game on Tuesday against Heidelberg, as the Ohio Northern women's soccer team went on to blank the Student Princes 1-0 on the road at Mayer Field.
The Polar Bears improve to 11-4-1 overall and are 5-1 in Ohio Athletic Conference play, while the Student Princes fall to 4-9-3, 0-5-1.
Eiben scored her fifth goal of the season off a corner kick that bounced around the box before she gained control, allowing the Polar Bears to take the lead 1-0.
Heidelberg was unable to answer, allowing the Polar Bears their fifth shutout of the season.
Freshman goalkeeper Kristin DeWees had one save on the night en route to her third consecutive shutout.
Ohio Northern outshot Heidelberg 35-2 with seven corner kicks to compared to just two for HC.
The Polar Bears will travel to Westerville Saturday at 2 pm as they take on Otterbein.
