Brian Hill named OAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern senior Brian Hill (Fairborn/Carroll) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 16-22.

Hill threw a three-hit shutout, striking out 10, as Ohio Northern defeated Davenport (Mich.) 4-0 in game one of a doubleheader sweep on Saturday at Wander Field.

This marks the second time in his career that Hill has received Pitcher of the Week honors, as he also earned the award on March 31, 2008.

This season, Hill is a team-best 3-1 with a 4.94 ERA and 23 strikeouts in 23.2 innings of work.

The Polar Bears (8-7) will take a three-game winning streak into Ohio Athletic Conference action when they open their OAC schedule with a twin-bill at Mount Union on Saturday.
