What is your major and how did you end up at ONU?
I’m a tech/ed major and I ended up transferring here from Ohio Dominican for school. I realized that the baseball team was very strong and definitely turned my head and got me excited about coming to Northern.

Looking back, what will you miss most about playing baseball at ONU?
Being around all the guys and interacting with them throughout the year. They are like my family, and I will miss our close-knit friendships.

Throughout your four years, what is your best baseball memory?
Beating Otterbein when they were ranked 7th in the country and throwing a no hitter against Manchester.

What motivates you to do your best on the field and in the classroom?
I like competition and I like being the best at anything I do, so it keeps me ahead in the classroom and on the field.

What are your strengths on the baseball field?
My attitude, I never let anything get me down and I’m good at keeping the rest of the team up as well.

As a senior, what do you feel your responsibilities are for the team?
My responsibilities are to keep the team performing at its best and lead by example. It’s my job to encourage the younger players and keep them motivated game after game.

As a junior you were chosen as Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week March 31, how did that feel?
I was surprised more than anything and didn’t expect to receive that honor, but it felt great.  I pitched really well that week and the team made winning easy.

What are your personal goals for this year?
To have at least six wins and lead the team to the OAC Tournament.

What are your goals as a team?
Team goals are to make the OAC Tournament and come out with a winning record as a team.

How have you seen yourself grow as a player over the past four years?
I’ve gained velocity on all my pitches and grown stronger as a person.

In 2007 you showed some impressive stats with 3 wins and 59 strikeouts, where would you say your game has gone from there?
I already have two wins this season after only pitching 3 games; so my game has definitely improved from last year. I am more confident on the mound and am a smarter player on the field. I know how to read my teammates and encourage them to do their best.
