ADA — Senior Angie Pisut (Huber Heights/Carroll) has been selected as the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the week of October 12-18.
Pisut was also named OAC Player of the Week on September 8 of this season and has won the award three times in her career now.
The 2007 OAC Forward of the Year scored her 13th goal of the season in the 53rd minute of a 6-0 shutout over Baldwin-Wallace on Tuesday.
She followed that up by scoring the lone goal in a 1-0 victory on the road at John Carroll on Saturday.
Her 14 goals this season are a career best and tied for third most by any senior in ONU history, surpassing her total of 13 goals as a sophomore in 2007.
Pisut has been spectacular since OAC play began on October 3, scoring at least one goal in all five conference contests this season.
She has seven goals over the five OAC games, leading the Polar Bears to a 5-0-0 record so far in the conference.
Pisut keeps climbing the ONU record books as well this season, as she is now tied for seventh all-time in goals scored (35) and is in eighth place alone in points scored (82).
Ohio Northern will host Heidelberg at 4 pm on Wednesday before facing the only other undefeated team in OAC play, Otterbein, on Saturday at 2 pm.
