ADA — Ohio Northern freshman Alison Steinbrunner (New Carlisle/Tecumseh) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Steinbrunner won the Division III race and was fourth out of 153 runners overall at the Mel Brodt Invitational at Bowling Green State University on Saturday.
Steinbrunner finished in 18:35, which tied for the second-fastest time in ONU women's cross country history, in just her second collegiate race.
The ONU women finished second of five teams in the Division III race and were seventh of 13 teams overall, which included victories over NCAA Division I schools Marshall and Cleveland State.
The Polar Bears will return to action next Saturday at the Calvin (Mich.) Select Meet.
