MARIETTA - Junior Chelsea Albert headed in two goals to lead the No. 24 Ohio Northern women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Marietta Friday afternoon to wrap up the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season.

Ohio Northern moves to 14-3-2 on the year overall and 8-1-0 in the OAC. The Pioneers are now 5-11-1, 2-7-0.

With the victory, the Polar Bears assure themselves at least second place in the OAC and the number two seed for the OAC Tournament, giving them a first-round bye.

Otterbein and Capital will play tomorrow to decide the final regular season standings and seeding for the conference tournament. If Capital wins or the two teams tie, the Polar Bears will win the OAC Regular Season Championship.

Albert's first goal came in the fourth minute on a free kick off the foot of Stacey Barnhart from near midfield. She was able to get the ball above everyone else and head it past the keeper.

In similar fashion, Albert then received a corner kick off the foot of Kaitlin Sanders to head in her second goal of the game in the eighth minute.

Albert now has five goals on the season, while Sanders and Barnhart have 13 assists and four assists on the season, respectively.

Ohio Northern will host an OAC Tournament semifinal game on Wednesday against an opponent that is yet to be determined.
