Alan Bowsher named OAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern senior Alan Bowsher (Cygnet/Bowsher) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for his efforts last weekend at the All-Ohio Championships meet.

Bowsher led the No. 19-ranked Polar Bears (35-4)  to a victory at the 20-team All-Ohio Championships at the Delaware Golf Club.

He finished second out of 145 Division III runners and was 15th of 269 runners from all divisions in 27:05. 

This is the second time this season and the third time in his career that Bowsher has won the award, as he was named the OAC Runner of the Week on Sept. Sept. 14, 2009 and on Sept. 22, 2008. 

The Polar Bears are idle this week and will return to action Oct. 17 at the Oberlin Invitational.
