MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Ohio Northern junior Michael Schultz earned All-America honors with a fifth place finish in the 1650 freestyle on the final day of the 2010 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships at the University of Minnesota Saturday evening.

Schultz shattered his previous school record by nearly two seconds, finishing in 15:44.01.

ADA — The Ohio Northern baseball team used an excellent pitching performance by freshman Austin Price in Game 1 and a walk-off RBI single by senior Loren Fleischman in Game 2 to sweep Manchester (Ind.) 5-3 and 3-2 in a doubleheader at Wander Field Saturday afternoon.

OBERLIN - Senior Mami Ito picked up a pair of victories, but the Ohio Northern women's tennis team fell to Oberlin on the road 6-3 Saturday afternoon.

The Polar Bears are now 2-5 on the season, while the Yeowomen are 5-5.

Ito picked up her first victory at No. 2 doubles when she teamed with junior Kristen Timperman to defeat Julie Christensen and Carolyn Bell in a tight 9-7 contest.
