The ONU marketing major prepares students for entrance in a diverse range of careers. There are so many options — sports, manufacturing, entertainment, retail — the opportunities are endless. The foundation of the marketing curriculum is rooted in a strong general-business background and a core marketing curriculum. Because each student’s career path will be different, students select from a wide array of electives to tailor their marketing degree to their chosen career. Opportunities: “I was assigned a project in my interviewing class in which we were asked to interview someone who is currently working in our ideal job field. Through this, I began networking with key management personnel in the Cincinnati Reds organization. It was a challenge; however, now I have leads to obtain a possible internship position. “
“The marketing major stands out because marketing students stand out. Marketing students at ONU are taught to think out of the box and relate to the general public in an original way. Because we attend a smaller school, it is easy to get noticed and join groups where networking isn’t a task but natural. We know our professors, we know our deans, and we know many of our generous alumni. Through my education, I will be able to use my personality and challenge my creativity to market anything imaginable.”
