Freshman Admission

  • Ohio Northern University operates on a rolling-admissions basis, which means that each applicant is considered immediately upon receipt of all necessary credentials. (See the exception below for the Raabe College of Pharmacy)
  • Your application file will be considered complete when it contains the application, application fee, official high-school transcript(s), ACT or SAT scores, letter of recommendation and official transcripts from all colleges previously attended (transfers).
  • Applicants are notified promptly regarding their acceptance status (approximately two to four weeks).
  • For maximum scholarship consideration, please apply by Dec. 1 of your senior year.

Raabe College of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)

A campus visit is highly recommended. You may call the University Admissions Office at 1-888-408-4668 to schedule a visit and learn about special visit days.

  1. Complete application after June 1 but no later than Nov. 1, 2010. This means that the University has received all required materials by Nov. 1.
    • University application
    • High-school transcripts
    • Aptitude test scores (ACT and/or SAT)
    • Letter of Reference.  Reference form can be downloaded here.
  2. Once your application file is complete, it will be evaluated in the following three categories:
    • Aptitude: ACT/SAT test scores
    • Achievement: high-school record, essay, recommendations
    • Activities: out-of-classroom interests, including volunteer service and jobs
  3. After a College of Pharmacy evaluation, selected applicants will be invited to campus for a personal interview, which is required for admission consideration. If you are not invited, you will be notified that you will not receive further consideration for pharmacy admission.
  4. Interviews will take place in December, and final admission decisions will be made prior to the end of December.
