Ohio Northern University provides term life insurance for full-time support staff members equal to one and one-half their annual salary up to a maximum of $50,000. Ohio Northern University pays the full cost of the premium.

Enrollment in the plan upon initial full-time employment does not require evidence of insurability and the insurance becomes effective at the start of employment.

Upon retirement or termination of employment, the term life insurance will cease.

In the event of an accidental death for the covered employee, an additional amount equal to the life insurance coverage will be paid.

Subject to any reductions, "guaranteed issue" means the amount of insurance applied for which does not require evidence of good health.

Living Benefits Option For You

50% of the amount of the life insurance benefit is available to you if you incur a "terminal condition" but not to exceed $ 100,000. "Terminal condition" means an injury or sickness expected to result in your death within 12 months and from which there is no reasonable prospect of recovery as determined by us.
