Transfer Students
Admission Prerequisites for Transfer Students
Application Deadline is February 1, 2009
The Raabe College of Pharmacy at Ohio Northern University offers the six-year doctor of pharmacy degree and admits most of its students directly from their secondary schools into the College of Pharmacy.
Each year the College of Pharmacy determines whether any space is available in existing classes for transfer student enrollment. These decisions are not made until March, and it is possible that NO transfer applicants will be admitted if the continuing classes are sufficiently full. Less than five transfer students have been admitted over the past three years. If you are applying, your application must be submitted no later than February 1 for consideration. You will be notified of our decision on or about April 1.
Prior to applying, transfer applicants may have their transcripts reviewed to determine placement in Ohio Northern's six-year doctor of pharmacy program. Curricular flexibility will allow most transfer students who have completed general chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, zoology, and calculus to complete their doctor of pharmacy degree in four academic years, including one four-week summer session.
Ohio Northern University does not require the PCAT test for admission. International applicants should have at least a 550 TOEFL score.
Financial aid is available for all transfer students, but scholarships and grants are limited to those applicants who have not yet earned a bachelor's degree.
