Georg Klaas

Georg Klass has served as the principal clarinetist of the Toledo Symphony since 2001.  He received his formal training on the clarinet at Indiana University and the University of Southern California, where he earned the distinguished Mitchell Lurie Award in 2001.  His principal teachers are Eli Eban and Yehuda Gilad.  He has also performed with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Cleveland Orchestra, Michigan Opera Theatre Orchestra, and the Chautauqua Festival Orchestra.  He currently serves on the faculty here at Ohio Northern University.
