Kurt Wilson - Head Athletic Trainer, Assistant Professor, HPSS Department & Coordinator of Strength & Conditioning
Kurt began in August of 1999 at Ohio Northern University. He is a 1997 graduate of Manchester College (N. Manchester, IN) with a B.S. degree in Health and Physical Education. He earned his M.A. degree in Athletic Training at Western Michigan University (Kalamazoo, MI) in 1999. While at Western Michigan, Kurt served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Bronco football and baseball teams. He is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist as recognized by the National Strength & Conditioning Association. Kurt and his wife, Michelle, reside in Lima, OH. He has two sons, Peyton and Keegan and a daughter, Kenley.
Michelle Wilson- Athletic Training Education Program Director, Assistant Athletic Trainer, Associate Professor, HPSS Department
Michelle has been at ONU since 1992. She graduated in 1988 from East Stroudsburg University (East Stroudsburg, PA) with a B.S. degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation with a concentration in Athletic Training. She earned her M.S. degree in Health and Physical Education from Marshall University (Huntington, WV) in 1990. Michelle is currently an associate professor in the HPSS department. Michelle and her husband, Kurt, and daughter Kenley, reside in Lima, OH.
Owen Keller - Assistant Athletic Trainer and Associate Professor, HPSS Department
Owen has been at ONU since August of 1984. He graduated in 1976 with a B.S. degree in Education from Ohio University. Owen worked as an athletic trainer at a high school setting before pursuing his Masters of Arts in Physical Education with a specialization in Athletic Training from Western Michigan University (Kalamazoo, MI) in 1984. Among Owen's accomplishments in the field of athletic training, he received the Ohio Athletic Trainers' Association (OATA) Collegiate Athletic Trainer of the Year Award in 1996. Owen and his wife, Kaye, reside in Lima, OH.
Chandalar West - Assistant Athletic Trainer, Assistant Professor, HPSS Department
Chandalar began in August of 2001 at Ohio Northern University. She is a 1999 graduate of Wilmington College (Wilmington, OH) with a B.S. degree in Athletic Training & Sport Management. She earned her M.A.E.d. degree in Health Education at East Carolina University (Greenville, NC) in 2001. While at East Carolina, Chandalar served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Pirate soccer & softball teams. She resides in Findlay, OH, with her husband, Chris, and son, Cashel.
Justin Lehman - Assistant Athletic Trainer, Lecturer, HPSS Department
Justin began in August of 2006 at Ohio Northern University. He is a 2003 graduate of Ohio Northern University with a B.S. Degree in Athletic Training and a minor in Exercise Physiology. He earned his M.Ed. in Health Promotion & Exercise Science from the University of Cincinnati in 2005. While at UC, Justin served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for Women's Soccer, Volleyball, Baseball, Women's Tennis, and the Cheerleading & Dance Team. Prior to coming to ONU, Justin was employed by Lima Memorial Health Systems and covered Elida High School. While a student at ONU, Justin was involved in Phi Epsilon Kappa and the HPSS Club. Justin & his wife, Emily, reside in Lima, OH
Kimberly Badertscher-Clinical Outreach Athletic Trainer
Kimberly began in the fall of 2004 as a contracted clinical outreach athletic trainer from Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima OH. Kimberly is a 2000 graduate from Ohio Northern University with dual majors in Sports Medicine (Athletic Training) and Health. She attended graduate school at East Stroudsburg University from 200-01 as has been employed at Lima Memorial Hospital since the completion of her master's degree in 2001. While a student at ONU, Kim was involved in Alpha Xi Delta, Alpha Omega Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa, Phi Epsilon Kappa and HPSS club. Kim resides in Ada, OH.
