Visiting Ohio Northern

Visit and “Discover [your] true north.” We encourage all prospective students to visit Ohio Northern University and tour the department of art & design. Take a guided tour of our facilities, meet our faculty and explore the work of our students. Your visit to the Wilson Art Center can also include a personal interview and a portfolio review.

The personal interview offers an excellent opportunity for you to present your work. It also allows for a valuable exchange to take place between you and an admissions counselor, who can help with the preparation of your portfolio.

Please contact the admissions office at (419) 772-2260 or admissions@onu.edu to schedule a visit. Tours of campus and of the department are offered Monday through Saturday. Interviews and portfolio reviews typically are scheduled in conjunction with a tour.

I decided to study art and design at Ohio Northern for several reasons. First, I have a passion for educating and teaching children. Along with this passion, I found, after several visits to ONU, that the faculty in the art & design department possessed that same passion. The sense of community [that the faculty instill] impressed my decision to study at Ohio Northern.
