True North Success: Alumna Testimony

I came to Ohio Northern not knowing what I wanted to study. I had taken a tour of the art building when I visited while in high school, and I was impressed with the facilities and the friendliness of the staff. I also liked the interaction between the students and faculty. The friendliness was not something you find at other universities. But, I wasn’t sure if I was ready to declare an art & design major quite yet. I took all of my general education classes and eventually found my way back to the Wilson Art Center. During my sophomore year, I finally declared graphic design as my major! Over the years, I took the art and design classes, and loved it. Granted, it was hard work and stressful at times, but you’ll get that no matter what major you choose. With design, I found satisfaction in researching, creating and designing, in trying new things, and being challenged by the professors and students. I liked the opportunities that were there. At ONU, we had a great atmosphere in the art & design department. There’s just something about it, and I’m glad I made my decision to attend Ohio Northern.
