Deeper Than Dreams | Elzay Gallery of Art and Stambaugh Studio Theatre Gallery
Paintings and Drawings by Tom Connelly
September 8–October 2, 2009
A recipient of the Crescent Memorial Scholarship from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Connelly has studied extensively with the world’s most important artists. His abstractive observations of nature consistently resonate throughout his work.

Pre-Visions | Elzay Gallery of Art and Stambaugh Studio Theatre Gallery
Paintings by John R. Nativio

October 9–November 3, 2009
In his work, Nativio focuses most of his attention to our changing environment. “I find myself attempting to understand human existence with an increasingly manufactured landscape. Provocative glimpses over urban and rural settings leave capricious projections of what we have transformed, and how these transformations may change us...”
Reception: Friday, October 16, 5–7p.m.

In a Little While | Elzay Gallery of Art and Stambaugh Studio Theatre Gallery
Paintings by Ivan J. Fortushniak
January 4– February 19, 2010
Fortushniak has shown his work in a variety of venues across the United States and has work included in several private collections throughout the Midwest. His work juxtaposes water towers, smokestacks, and Boeing aircraft with landscapes inspired by George Inness, Winslow Homer and Albert P. Ryder. Most recently, he has been investigating the psychological implications that pop and historical icons have played in his nurturing and understanding of life.
Reception: TBA
