Engineering students should take the Engineering Business Option, offered by the College of Engineering.
The Entrepreneurship Minor requires 28 credit hours of course work. This includes 16 credit hours of required courses and 12 hours of elective courses. Elective courses must be approved by the Entrepreneurship Program Director.
Required courses for the Entrepreneurship Minor are:
- Introduction to Entrepreneurship (ABUS 222)
- Microeconomics (IBEC 202)
- Principles of Marketing (MRKT 351)
- New Venture Creation (ABUS 444)
Students who are creative, who like to be innovative or who plan to start or run their own businesses will benefit from Ohio Northern University’s entrepreneurship minor. This includes not only artists and engineers but also pharmacists and accounting majors. In our global marketplace, jobs no longer last decades, and as you change jobs and often reinvent yourself during your career, starting your own business will be an option to consider again and again. Understanding the consequences of this “do-it-yourself decision” is a priceless learning experience.
