Ohio Northern University Founded in 1871, Ohio Northern University is a competitive, comprehensive university affiliated with the United Methodist church. ONU is one of the few private universities to offer a unique blend of quality liberal arts and professional programs in its five colleges: Arts & Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering, Pharmacy and Law.

A Wired Campus
There are 1,653 University-owned computers networked on campus, with an additional 533 in academic computer labs. There is Internet access throughout campus and in each residence hall room, with wireless access available in most areas as well.

The Polar Bears compete in the NCAA Division III-Ohio Athletic Conference. There are 21 varsity sports (eleven for men and ten for women), and nearly as many club and intramural sports.

Mathile CenterSpring 2009 - The Mathile Center for the Natural Sciences , a new student-centered academic research and learning facility that will blend trademark hands-on teaching excellence with advanced technology in a functional modern environment. The building will include 21 classrooms, five seminars/conference rooms, 21 laboratories, 34 offices and four storage spaces. The 95,145-square-foot structure will connect the Meyer Hall of Science with the Robertson-Evans Pharmacy building.
